    Three days after the arrest of two drug peddlers in Iawmusiang, Jowai, Meghalaya Police made another arrest of two drugs peddlers in Jowai Town and made a seizure of 6.02 grams of heroin within a week.

    Notably, the first arrest of two drugs peddlers namely Romeo Bareh and Hadin Da U Timung was carried out on Tuesday at Iawmusiang Jowai opposite DC’s office on Tuesday. Police seized 1.41 grams of heroin from there.

    Police informed that on the lead obtained after the arrest of Jimmy Sutnga, they arrested Sdangki Myrphet on Friday morning at around 3 am. Myrphet is reportedly one of the main drug supplier in Jowai Town.

    Police said body search was conducted and from Myrphet’s possession 4.61 gm of contraband which tested positive for Heroin was detected.

    Police said cash of Rs 1,90, 500 and one Alto 800 without number plate was seized from his possession.

    Police informed other items such as soap cases, golden tobacco containers, pencil Vials, etc were also seized from his possession.

    Police informed the duo were also booked under Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985.
