SHILLONG: The Khasi Students’ Union (KSU) Upper Shillong Circle on Wednesday pushed back as many as 30 illegal labourers after they were found to be without any valid documents.

Assistant general secretary Daniel Kharbani said after receiving information that about 30 labourers have come to work at the Indian Air Force, at 7th Mile Upper Shillong, the members of the Union immediately reach the place and enquired whether they have valid documents with them.

He said it was found out that none of them have proper documents.

He said the officials of the Indian Air Force had tried to intervene into the matter but the union immediately informed the authorities concerned which led to sending back of the illegal labourers to their place of origin.
