    Acting on specific input, the vigilant troops of 04 Battalion, Border Security Force (BSF) Meghalaya, successfully apprehended 03 Bangladeshi nationals alongwith 02 Indian nationals who were working as touts near International border of EKH District on 23rd December 2024. These 03 BD nationals were attempting to cross into Bangladesh illegally. The vigil troops of BSF intercepted and apprehended them.

    During preliminary questioning, they revealed that they were residing in Siliguri and worked there as labourers. They sought assistance of the 02 apprehended Indian nationals to facilitate their illegal return to Bangladesh.

    All the apprehended person have been handed over to the Police Station in Pynursla after medical examination for further legal action.

    The Border Security Force remains unwavering in its commitment to safeguarding India’s borders and continues to combat cross-border illegal activities, including infiltration and smuggling.
