3 arrested with Ganja in Mawryngkneng

Three persons from Mizoram were arrested along with 10 kgs of Ganja in Mawryngkneng on Sunday.

Yesterday, East Khasi Hills Anti-Narcotic Task Force (ANTF) in a coordinated effort  with Mawryngkneng PS  intercepted one  vehicle, a Tata Yodha No.  MZ01/Z 3654 contraband travelling from Shillong to Mizoram and arrested Sabina Lalnunmawiii (23), Lalrinmawia Chenkua (19) and Lalrosanga (28), district police chief Vivek Syiem said on Monday.

10.455 kg of Ganja, 235 bottles of alcohol (750 ml), one green sofa set where contraband was hidden, two mobile phones were seized from their possession, he said.

A case has been registered with the Mawryngkneng police station under the NDPS Act.
