292 cases settled for Rs 1.5 cr in National Lok Adalat

The Meghalaya State Legal Services Authority (MSLSA) organized the National Lok Adalat on September 14 across all districts of the State, under the aegis of the National Legal Services Authority (NALSA).

Member Secretary of the Meghalaya State Legal Services Authority, E Kharumnuid, informed that a total of 1,185 cases were taken up, including 776 pre-litigation cases and 409 pending cases. Of these, 292 cases were settled, amounting to Rs 1,50,43,766 (Rupees One crore fifty lakh forty-three thousand seven hundred and sixty-six).
