220 cases settled for Rs.1.6 crore in one day National Lok Adalat

Altogether 220 cases were settled for a total amount of Rs. 1 crore 6 lakhs forty thousands two hundreds and seven in the National Lok Adalat held on Saturday.

Organized by Meghalaya State Legal Services Authority, the National Lok Adalat was held in all the districts of Meghalaya, under the aegis of the National Legal Services Authority (NALSA).

In the National Lok Adalat, 862 Pre-Litigation cases and 478 pending cases were taken up for settlement. Total number of cases taken up were 1340, and of which 220 cases were settled for a total amount of Rs.1,06,40,207/- (Rupees One crore six lakhs forty thousand two hundred and seven) only was settled in the National Lok Adalat.
