2022 is virtually turning into a year of garbage for Jowai Town
The people at the helms of affairs is hell bent to set up Mooshutdai, Thadmusem for reasons best known to them despite stiff opposition from the local people since December, 2021.
The people at the helms of affairs are also not exploring possibilities for new lands for setting up land fills and let the people of Jowai Town suffered for 65 long days so far this year.

Sources revealed that 15 individuals offered their lands for setting up landfills but all except the lands at Mutshutdai was rejected. As the people in Mutshutdai objected why is not the people at helms of affairs re-examining the remaining 14 lands.

It is really a day dream of Jowai MLA to convert Jowai Town into a smart Town and a beautification project of Honourable Chiefminister when he already committed but now we have seen so many colours in the 4 to 5 dumping areas in and around Iawmusiang Jowai and Ladthlaboh market JHADC .. is this that Beautification project you have promised us to mark the 50th year of our Statehood ???? Forget about the household Garbages kept in their residence but Mr CM ,Mr.Urban affairs MInister n Mr MLA health hazard is the question of the hour..If anything happened to our beloved citizens of Jowai Town all the three of you shall be made accountable . Remember that the Villagers who do their business in Iawmusiang this is your carbages..It is not I JHEP KI JWAI as heard n voice out from your side . It is time that all markets in Jowai Town be shut down… It’s high time we all wake up …
