2 women from Manipur arrested, heroin seized in Shillong
Two women from Manipur were arrested with heroin from Madanrting on Monday morning.
During regular naka checking, the Anti-Narcotics Task Force (ANTF) of East Khasi Hills, Shillong recovered 454.32 grams of heroin near Madanrting police station from the two women, who were travelling in a tourist traveller vehicle, East Khasi Hills SP Sylvester Nongtnger said in a statement.
They have been identified as Tinkhonei Haokip (37) and Mongkim Hoakip (53) from New Keithelmanbi village, Senapati, Manipur, he said.
An investigation has been taken up under relevant sections of the NDPS Act.
