2 drug suppliers arrested with heroin and yaba tablets at Mawryngkneng

Two drug suppliers were arrested along with heroin and suspected yaba tablets from Mawryngkneng village in East Khasi Hills district.

They have been identified as Mastak Ahmed Mazumder (26) and Hanif Ahmed Laskar (29), police said.

From the possession of Mastak, 5(five) Nos. of soap boxes containing yellow orange powder suspected to be heroin weighing-56.93 gms was seized while from Hanif, one blue colour plastic pouch containing 196 nos suspected to be Yaba tablets weighing- 19.16 gms was seized.

In this connection, a case has been registered at Mawryngkneng Police Station vide case no.30(10)2024 U/S 21(b)/22(b)/29 NDPS Act and investigation of the case is in progress.
