2 drug peddlers held in Nongpoh

Two drug peddlers were arrested along with heroin at Nongpoh in Ri Bhoi District on Thursday morning.

Sumit Naha (21) and Rahul Ghosh (25), both of Dibrugarh Assam were apprehended from a night super bus (ML05T8121), police said.

During search, 2 soap boxes containing heroin weighing 21.05 grams alongwith 8 vials and 1 syringe were found from their possession, they said.

A case has been registered at Nongpoh police station and investigation is on to trace backward and forward linkages.
