2 Assam drug traffickers arrested with heroin in Shillong

Two drug traffickers from Assam were arrested along with heroin from Shillong on Wednesday.

The duo who hails from Badarpur, Karimganj and Katigorah, Silchar, Chachar were arrested by the anti-narcotic task force (ANTF), East Khasi Hills District from Hotel Serene, GS Road, Police Bazar, police said. They are aged 26 and 31.

20 soap boxes of heroin weighing 250.64 grams, 2 mobile phones, one brown colour Toshiba laptop bag, 2 epic cards, 2 pan cards were seized from their possession, they said.

A case under NDPS Act is being registered against the two at Sadar police station.
