19 more test positive for COVID-19 in Meghalaya

Nineteen more persons have been tested positive for COVID-19 on Thursday taking the total active cases in the state to 452.

The 19 new cases include 13 BSF in East Khasi Hills, 3 West Garo Hills and 3 in South West Garo Hills, DHS (MI)  Dr Aman War said. 

East Khasi Hills has a total of 379 active cases of which 282 are BSF troopers, 14 armed forces and 83 civilians. 

There are 42 in Ri Bhoi, 15 in West Garo Hills, 5 in West Jaintia Hills, 4 in South West Garo Hills, 3 in East Jaintia Hills, 2 in South Garo Hills, 1 in East Garo Hills and 1 in North Garo Hills.

So far, 78 people have recovered from the infection while 4 succumbed to the disease.
