    As many as 17 citizens from Meghalaya are stranded in the Russian invasion-hit Ukraine.

    Informing this on Friday, Chief Secretary Rebecca V Suchiang said there are 17 students stranded in Ukraine.

    “We have already written to the Ministry of External Affairs (for ensuring their safe return),” she said.

    Earlier, Deputy Chief Minister Prestone Tynsong said that the stranded citizens from the state will be arriving in the country on February 27. A special flight has been arranged by the Government of India for their safe return.
