17 persons arrested on illicit liquor trade

In its continued drive against illicit liquor, the Excise staff of East Khasi Hills District conducted raids in restaurants, stalls in the town and its outskirts where during the month of November 2023 detected 20 cases with a seizure of 80.650 litres of i/d liquor and 126.255 litres IMFL.

In this connection, 17 persons were arrested under the Excise Act.
