    A total of 1680 people stranded in various parts of North East region have come back to the state and no positive cases have been detected, Deputy Chief Minister Prestone Tynsong informed on Thursday.

    Tynsong told reporters that the returnees are among the over 3,000 stranded citizens including students registered with the government.

    Asked, he said that all returnees were screened and there has been no positive cases detected so far.

    The deputy CM further informed that the remaining 1400 stranded citizens are yet to return to the state. According to him, some will be arriving tomorrow while all are expected to arrive in the state by Sunday.
