  • 140 cases settled for Rs 1.21 cr in National Lok Adalat held in Meghalaya

    A total of 140 of 553 cases were settled for a total amount of Rs 1.21 crore during  the National Lok Adalat held in all the districts of the state on Saturday.

    Of 553 cases taken up for settlement, 270 were pre-litigation cases and 283 were pending cases.

    The National Lok Adalat was organized by the Meghalaya State Legal Services Authority (MSLSA) under the patronage and guidance of Chief Justice of Meghalaya High Court IP Mukerji and Justice HS Thangkhiew. 

    This was informed by MSLSA member secretary E Kharumnuid in a statement issued here.
