The 119 Territorial Army organised a 40-motorcycle rally from Kenches Trace to Cherapunji and back as part of their Platinum Jubilee celebrations. This significant event, held on 15 September, showcased not only the coordination and discipline of the Territorial Army but also their commitment to community engagement and adventure.

The rally, which covered a challenging route through diverse terrains, was marked by strategic planning and execution, highlighting the proficiency of the participants. Starting early in the morning from Kenches Trace, the riders navigated through picturesque landscapes and rigorous roads, ultimately reaching the scenic destination of Cherapunji. The return journey was equally exhilarating, concluding with a grand reception back at Kenches Trace.

The event aimed to foster camaraderie among the participants, promote the spirit of adventure, and demonstrate the operational capabilities of the Territorial Army. It also served as a platform for interaction with local communities and reinforcing the bond between the army and the public.

Colonel Devashis Nailk, the Commanding Officer of 119 Territorial Army  expressed gratitude to all participants and supporters: “The rally was a testament to the skill and dedication of our Territorial Army personnel. We are proud of their performance and pleased with the community engagement that this event has fostered.”

The 119 Territorial Army extends its thanks to the local authorities, volunteers, and sponsors who contributed to the event’s success. This rally is a reflection of the Territorial Army’s ongoing efforts to blend operational excellence with community involvement.
