1 arrested with heroin in Shillong

A 30-year-old man was arrested with heroin in the city on Monday.

Vishal Kupar Marngar of Nongstoin Mawkawah West Khasi hills presently staying at Garo Bazar Polo, was stopped by the patrolling party of Pasteur Beat House on suspicion of peddling drugs.

They approached him and searched his body. 17 nos of vials containing heroin and cash Rs.480 was found from his possession, police said.

ANTF team was rushed to Pasteur BH and conducted legal formalities as per provisions of the NDPS Act. A case has been registered and investigation taken up.
