West Jaintia Hills schools colleges to closed on May 30

Following the heavy rain caused by cyclone Remal on Wednesday, the Deputy Commissioner and Chairman of the District Disaster Management Authority of West Jaintia Hills District issued an order for the closure of schools/colleges/universities on May 30.

The order issued stated that, “In continuation to our letter No.DDMA.58/2015/154, dated Jowai the 25th May 2024 and in view of the adverse cyclonic conditions prevailing in the district, all schools/colleges/universities will remain closed on the 29th and 30th of May 2024.”
