Power Minister AT Mondal said that the power situation in the state is very ‘unstable’ due to the weather condition.

Speaking to reporters on Friday, Mondal said in many places, there is tripping of power in the 132/33 KV line, 33/11 KV line and 11 KV line to substations because of incessant rain, felling of trees and branches.

“Our people are on the job and we are trying to restore it as early as possible,” he added.

According to him, there has been no major damage reported so far.

Mondal informed that he just convened a meeting with the commissioner & secretary in-charge power and the department is looking into the scenario.

“Our people are on the job and we are trying to restore it as fast as possible and we hope that the weather is okay.”

Further, the minister urged the people to stay away from the conductor as it may snap due to felling of trees or branches in vulnerable areas.
