Another two persons from Tripura arrested for smuggling Ganja

Yet another two persons from Tripura namely Rabi Debbarma aged 43 yrs years from R M Thakur para, Ranir Bazar, Jirania West Tripura and Amarjit Debbarma aged 19 years from Surendra nagar, Dasherghat, Baikunthapur, West Tripura are arrested in East Jaintia Hills District for smuggling ganja weighing 66.829 Kgs in their vehicle Mahindra KUV 100 bearing number TR-07-B-0422.

Police said at around 07:45 Pm on Sunday Umkiang PP staff during naka checking duty at Damcherra, Kuliang, NH-6, signaled the said vehicle to stop for checking and during which suspected contraband items wrapped in brown tape concealed inside the vehicle were recovered.

The said two (2) persons were apprehended after observing all formalities under NDPS Act and police registered case vide Lumshnong PS Case No. 18(3)2023 u/s 21(b)(ii)(c)/29 NDPS Act
